COVID-19 is infectious disease currently persisting in the whole world affecting millions of people worldwide and spreading at higher rate resulting hundreds of deaths. Corona virus causes respiratory illness through cough, sneezing and exhales of infected person.

Second wave of pandemic is just started and there is no sure time that we could say it will end on. According to National Command and Operation Centre of Pakistan, almost 2,000 cases and 85 deaths were reported as per today. We don’t now when second wave will be at its peak, its necessary to do precautionary measures.

Due to decrease in corona cases in September 2020, most of people became carefree and don’t give importance to precautionary measures due to which cases are increasing. There is need to increase awareness about the pandemic and take it seriously as we did before.

Social media and communicating to others is the best form to spread awareness about pandemic. So, I want to use internet to start an awareness about pandemic and let people know that the virus is still there an you need to take necessary measures to save you and your loved ones too.

Following are the actions that can be taken during awareness process

  1. Starting from home, talking to family members to wear face mask going outside, clean hands with sanitizer after returning home. If someone from family is not with you currently, give them reminder about precautions.
  2. Talk to your friend circle and also remind them about necessary actions for virus
  3. If you are in some community groups of your neighbors share the information with them
  4. Awareness can be given through writing blogs and making videos on social media
  5. Even through live sessions information about precautions can be shared
