My whole journey with Amal Academy was very exciting. The journey is going to end soon, but I am already feeling sad and I’ll miss those weekend sessions a lot. I learned a lot from my program manager, who always has such a fresh smile and positive energy to start the session. I learned punctuality, patience and cooperation in real sense from our beloved program associate. And my Amal fellows, without their support and encouragement this journey would not be so exciting.

Many of us have fear of public speaking

Public speaking has always been my biggest fear. I always knew about this and wanted to overcome this. My purpose of joining Amal academy was also due to this fear. During one of our early sessions, 2 volunteers were asked to appear in a task that we didn’t even know about. I took the challenge and volunteer myself. Later, the task that was given to us was to speak on any topic in front of fellow for 1 minute. I spoke and got very negative feedbacks. Although this was a prank but it made me realize of my weak points. I felt happy and proud of myself for taking the courage to encounter my fear.

Keep Going with Positive Energy

I am very thankful to my fellows who always encouraged me to overcome my weak points. Later the feedback I received from my fellows and teachers really helped me a lot. Especially the point that one of my teacher highlighted “to make/write some points you are to going to speak beforehand”. This tip helped me a lot and now I feel more confident and have less fear of audience.
